Game 2 Recap: Hillside 48, Cardinal Gibbons 25

Cardinal Gibbons fell to 0-2 to begin the season with a 48-25 loss at Durham Hillside. The Hornets raced out to an early lead and were able to fend off the Crusaders' comeback attempts. Leading the way for Gibbons was Maggie Tardif, who posted five points, five rebounds, and an amazing seven blocked shots! Also posting five points in the game were Gabi Lavelle and Emily McCrorie. Next up is a home game against Jordan on Wednesday.

Sunday night reminder for Monday's game!

We play @ Hillside, 5:3o pm, tomorrow, Monday. Be ready to leave for the bus at 3:30 PM in the gym. We will grab a light snack on the way and hit the road for the game. Coach Tuttle will be driving the bus back in case any of yall need to be picked up from CG after the game.....

Practice Friday - Nov. 17th

If you are in town, this is mandatory! If you aren't.......make sure that you are still getting your fitness in after all of the mashed potatoes, sweet potatoe casserole, and turkey goes down!

Practice at CG on Friday from noon until 1:30..........we will get some good shoot around time and maybe some pick up .

Game 1 Recap: Broughton 33, Cardinal Gibbons 26

Cardinal Gibbons opened the season with a strong effort against Broughton, but came up a little short in a 33-26 loss. Despite trailing for much of the first half, Gibbons battled back to take the lead late in the third quarter, and led 24-21 entering the fourth. In the final period, the Capitals' pressure defense proved to be enough to help them pull out the win. The Crusaders were led in scoring by Gabi Lavelle and Maggie Tardif, who each totaled six points.
