Cardinal Gibbons (3-4) returned from break on Tuesday with a solid 35-21 victory over Durham Academy (2-3). A strong first half led to a 16 point lead at halftime. The Crusaders pressure defense forced 29 turnovers in the game which resulted in many fast break opportunities. All eleven players who played in the game contributed positively to the victory, with each player recording at least two rebounds. Maggie Tardif led the scoring with 7 points, while Emily McCrorie led in rebounds with 7. Derian Boch and Megan Summers did an excellent job of distirbuting the ball, recording 5 and 4 assists, respectively. Gibbons plays again on Wednesday, when they host Hillside in a rematch of a game from early December.
